We started our business in 1990 when our second son was born. A friend gave us the Los Angeles Times from that day and magazines from that week and month as a gift. We loved the idea and decided to create a keepsake time capsule to help new parents remember their child's special day. Since 1992 we have made over 50,000 personalized keepsake boxes for people all over the world. Birthday Time Capsule is truly a family business. In addition to running BTC, Sara volunteers at the local Elementary School and tutors mathematics. Ralph is a salesman who helps by filling boxes on evenings and weekends. Our business continues to grow every year. Our two boys, who are both in school, help out whenever they can. Our boxes are a "labor of love". Each year we add something special to the box to make it even more valuable to its owner. We believe that a baby's name and the day they were born are unique to only them, and by creating such a distinctive gift, they will always be able to find out more about the day the day they were born. In fact, our older son was able to use the periodicals we had saved from his birthday on a school research project.
